On March 16, AmCham Egypt, Inc. in partnership with the U.S.-Egypt Business Council hosted a virtual Meet & Greet with Agnes Baum, Egypt Desk Officer for Economic, Commercial, Climate & Energy Portfolios, U.S. Department of State. Sustainability, agriculture, and increasing trade relations were some of the many topics raised during the meeting. Officer Baum stated that “in all spheres of the U.S.-Egypt relationship, our economic relationship is the brightest-strongest part of our cooperation.” Officer Baum added that “there is a lot of excitement in Egypt to learn from the U.S. and to share existing green technologies and to further investment into the green economy.” All parties expressed interest in future U.S.-Egypt engagements including the upcoming GreenTech delegation, COP27, and the USEBC Centennial Celebration.
